DIY Wedding: Simple Table Confetti

And so....the wedding planning continues. I know I haven't said much about it but it's happening! Most of it in my head but this week I realized I have to start acting on my "head-planning".  With only 9 months left, I still haven't even bought a dress! Yikes!

The simplest and smallest wedding details are my favorite.  And if they are quick...even better!  The other day I was just sitting here and remembered that I had bought a heart punch awhile back. PERFECT for creating little hearts that can decorate a table top!

All you need is your favorite paper punch, some paper (I LOVE music sheets), and the ability to fold lol.

Excuse the black nail....I was smart enough to slam my hand in my car door a few weeks back.

And there you have it.  I can't wait to see how cute these are decorating my pie table ;)

DIY Wedding - Flower Peek

There's one thing to say about making your own flowers for your wedding....
It's a relaxing, sit-down, bond with your daughter type of time.  I really enjoy it.  And it's a good thing, because these flowers take a ton of time to make!

I posted some flower ideas here when I was still undecided on the direction I wanted to go.  Can you tell what one won my heart? :))

All the colored flowers are being done by hand.  I found that watering down acrylic paint and painting the paper before making the flower works great.  And with the vast variety of acrylic paints out there, I was able to find the exact colors for our wedding! Score!

DIY Wedding - Paper Flower Ideas

Happy Wednesday everybody! I hope your week is treating you well. The last few days have been go-go-go around here.  I've been trying to incorporate some sort of wedding planning into my -- already busy -- schedule every day.  This week flowers are the focus.

Because I do everything myself already, I wouldn't think about having real flowers at the wedding.  And that really has nothing to do with me being cheap (although I am lol). I just really like how you can get a vintage/rustic feel when you make them on your own. Plus, they don't die and I can have some for keepsakes.

Here is a list of flowers that I am loving right now.   They can be used for everyday decorating as well!

I've been working on a couple of different styles this week. The best part? My daughter likes to help and that means I get to hang out with her AND do crafts :)

DIY Wedding Invitation Ideas - A Start To Wedding Planning

I've been wanting to do a post on wedding stuff for two weeks now. I've found there is so much information and ideas....almost too much for my brain to handle. I spend more time looking through ideas than anything. But I'm locking down now....

**Side Note:  Everything is going to be DIY. And the more junkie/vintage/rustic, the better. Wedding planning is going to fit in perfectly at TJN. There may even be some furniture redoing going on for the occasion!**

I'm not sure where the "right" place is to start. But I feel like I should be starting with the invitations. The quicker I get these babies going, the less worrying will be done. Here are some ideas that I just love.

Are you getting an old western feel here??? Almost circus like too. Reminds me of Water For Elephants....

Sometimes it takes putting it all in front of you to get the perspective you've been looking for. Now I can see where my mind is going with this.
